Auto-Tuning Reader (ISO FDX and HDX)

The Avid Auto-Tuning Reader is a versatile ISO stationary reader that can adapt to your applications. This reader automatically tunes to a variety of antennas and surrounding environments. Set-up is simple: just plug in the antennas and switch on the power to start reading!

With auto-tuning, antennas can be customized to fit your installation sites. The standard antenna is a 25"x33" solid panel optimized for walk-by scanning of ISO bolus tags. Metallic-frame, plastic-frame, and flexible-loop antennas are build-to-order. Tell us about your projects, and we can design the best solution for you.

Industrial Reader (Avid, Memory)

The Avid Industrial Reader is a durable stationary reader that features a pass-through antenna. The pass-through antenna is water-proof and available in 6, 12 or 24 inch diameters. The Avid Industrial Reader is configured to read and display any Avid or FECAVA coded radio frequency identification tags. An optional memory module can be added to store up to 2000 Avid or FECAVA codes with a date & time stamp. The reader is encased in a NEMA-rated enclosure and all cables and wires exit the enclosure through water resistant cable clamps. The reader can be powered with a 12V car or motorcycle battery or by a Class II wall plug-in transformer. This reader is excellent for research projects where the reader will be left on site to record pit tagged animals' movement.

Power Tracker II (Avid)

The AVID Power Tracker II is a portable, water-resistant, hand-held identity tag reader. Its patented Multi-Mode technology enables it to read ID tags from different manufacturers. The Power Tracker II can read AVID and FECAVA coded radio frequency identification tags. The ID code can be displayed on the Power Tracker’s 16 character LCD or downloaded via RS-232 to a computer. Emulation software is provided for an automatic interface between the reader and a computer.

In the operational mode, the Power Tracker emits two beep tones and a visual LED flashes to signal that an identification tag has been read. When not in use, four beep tones sound every three minutes to warn the user that the unit is still on.

Read Distance varies depending upon orientation and size of ID Tag.

The AVID Power Tracker III is an identity tag reader with memory and translation capabilities. Its patented Multi-Mode technology enables it to read id tags from different manufacturers. The Power Tracker III is capable of reading, translating and storing up to 2000 AVID or FECAVA ID tag codes with a date & time stamp. The ID code can be displayed as manufactured or translated to an alphanumeric format as defined by the user. For example: the ID tag can be displayed as "AVID*123*456*789" or displayed as "MATTHEW-2432". The ID code, in its original or translated format, can be displayed on the Power Tracker's 16 character LCD, downloaded via RS-232 to a computer, and stored in the reader's memory.

In the operational mode, the Power Tracker emits two beep tones and visual LED flashes to signal that an identification tag has been read. When not in use, four beep tones sound every three minutes to warn the user that the unit is still on.

The Power Tracker VIII is capable of reading, translating and storing up to 2000 AVID, FECAVA or ISO FDX-B coded ID tags. The ID code can be displayed as manufactured or translated to an alphanumeric format as defined by the user.
